How do I get there?
There are three park units: Sundstein Rd, Ripco Rd, and Section 9. Click the link for each section or at the top of the website for the address and directions.
Can I bring my dog?
Tara Lila is pet friendly. In order to keep it that way, please carry out all pet waste. Pet leashes are recommended at the trailhead and the parking lot.
What about parking?
There is free parking at all three of Tara Lila’s park units. For the Snowshoe Celebration we will have volunteers to help direct you to parking.
How much does it cost?
All activities are free, there is no user fee to access Tara Lila trails.
How should I dress?
For your own comfort, please dress appropriately for the temperature. Layers are usually best for outdoor activities, and an outer layer that is wind/rain repellent is recommended. There will be a warming hut with hot chocolate and a bonfire to keep warm.
Should I bring my children?
Absolutely! This is a great way to introduce children to the wonder and beauty of the Northwoods.
Do I have to wear snowshoes on the groomed trail?
The groomed snowshoe trails are designed for snowshoe travel only, boot divots can ruin the experience for others. If you must wear boots, we ask that you walk next to the trail.
